Roald Dahl/Quentin Blake prints
‘The Enormous Crocodile’ was the first book which children’s author Roald Dahl and illustrator Quentin Blake worked on together. The two soon became firm friends, cementing one of the most eye-catching and distinctive collaborations in children’s literature. Many of Dahl’s books are based on the stories he made up at bedtime for his own children and his work has been published in over 40 languages. He died in 1990 and and is considered a modern classic. “I could never guess what he was going to think of next.” Quentin Blake

Books transported her into new worlds – Matilda
The Hen began to grow
I is a nice and jumbly Giant
Soon there were fifty coloured baloons
Everyone ready?
‘Now tell me, Matilda’ Miss Honey said
How much i loved my father
The BFG gave her a long hard stare
There’s enough chocolate in there
Charlie – cried Mr Wonka
Come up and see where you are
If a creature grows slowly
Action stations! James shouted
It was a big bottle
Just Missed the Bird
What was that? Cried Mrs Twit
Don’t Ride on that Crocodile!
How do You do?
We Really Must Get Some Sleep
