Dominic Murray

Biography

In 1983 Dominic started a career in the prop-making industry and was hugely successful. He worked on a vast range of projects for the BBC, The Royal Opera House, Disney and many of London’s most prestigious theatres.

Dominic’s strengths lay in sculpture and his creations flooded the television, film and theatre world. Work ranged from the creation of the original Mr Blobby to The Lion King costumes for Disney in London and Hamburg.

In 2002 Dominic made a life changing decision and decided to devote all his time to what was previously a hobby – painting. Since that time he has produced strong, uninterrupted and compelling portraiture work for which he has undertaken many private commissions, and stimulating still life and figurative pieces.
