Born in 1932, Quentin Blake has drawn ever since he can remember. His list of achievements is breathtaking, including the prestigious Hans Christian Andersen Award for Illustration, appointment as first ever Children’s Laureate, over 12 honorary degrees, an OBE and CBE. He is known for his collaboration with writers such as Russell Hoban, Joan Aiken, Michael Rosen and most famously Roald Dahl. He has also created much loved characters and books of his own and his vision for a museum of illustration in London is currently being turned into a reality.
