Jayson Lilley
Contemporary artist, Jayson Lilley, has worked at the forefront of printmaking for many years. His approach to the modern landscape is unique and fresh, in both technique and materials. His work is known for its urban and architectural focus, zooming in on familiar landmarks and reproducing iconic vistas and structures from the metropolis. Lilley’s innovative printmaking practice combines silkscreen, painting and collage techniques to construct vibrant scenes that are always accompanied by expansive skies and which play on salience and colour. Alongside his limited edition collections he also uses his visual platform to voice political messages in a light-hearted and poignant way.
Lilley’s award-winning background in advertising and graphic design is ever apparent in these highly collectible pieces. Lilley’s works are held in collections across the world including London, New York, Japan, Hong Kong and Moscow. His most recent accolades include being shortlisted for the Westmorland Landscape Prize and exhibiting at the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition.
